http://www.cityofheroes.com/community/veteranrewards.htmlSpecifically, for each increment of three months with an active account*, players will unlock valuable in-game “items” which will come in the form of costumes, powers, badges, and more! The program is retroactive by player account and rewards will be applicable to all characters within each respective account. We'll be able to get wings!!!

I wonder how that'll affect my account, which has been around since beta but of course had what like a year or more turned off? Who knows, fucking neato though! \m/(^_^)\m/

Q: Can you explain how this program is retroactive?
A: If, at the launch of Issue 8, you have had your account with City of Heroes/City of Villains for the past 10 months, you will have 10 months of Veteran Reward time already on your account. You will immediately receive the 3-, 6-, and 9-month rewards on your characters when you log them in. If you had let your account lapse for 2 months during this time (i.e. you didn’t pay to keep it active), then you would only have 8 months of Veteran Reward time and only get the 3- and 6-month rewards.
City of Heroes launched on April 28th of 2004. If you have been with us since the beginning, and have never let your account lapse, you will have 28 months of Veteran Reward time as of today (9/20/2006).*
Q: My account is no longer active. Can I still receive my rewards?
A: Yes. All you need to do is reactivate your account via credit card or game time card and the appropriate level of awards will appear for your characters. Just log in and they will be waiting for you. Note: the time that your account was not active does not count towards your rewards.

The first two years' worth of rewards are up on the NCSoft page now, with screenshots. There are a lot of costume pieces, but a couple of powers and respecs, too. It looks pretty damned cool!

None of the veteran rewards are up on Test yet, but there are a couple new fun things ... New emotes: /em teabag (which I thought was going to be something dirty, lol) /em eat /em invent New flight poses: Thats all I've seen in the 20 minutes I played around. Gotta go to work now!

Are you telling me you can SET how your hero poses while flying? ABOUT FUCKING TIME. Or is it just done randomly each time you take off into the air? Not as good but still something.
