I believe we all have different editions of the books, so I dunno what page 529 is.  I can guess, though. Smiley

I dunno what page that is either, but I have no guesses. He insult a dwarf to get Derrick riled up? Wink
Littlefiinger is a BAD, BAD man, but he's brilliant. If it weren't for the pedophilia, I'd probably even like him.

So far (in my reading) the pedophilia has only been something the savvy reader might suspect coming, nothing's been officially said or revealed or anything... it's just a genereal icky worrying for poor stupid evil bitch adorable young Sansa.

Seriously if Theon doesn't decide to kick his father's ass and do the right thing then I'm going to poop on a piece of paper with his name on it.  Or something.

And I *cannot* figure Varys' game.  I'm starting to think he's for real in his loyalty to the king(s).  Which probably means he's actually secretly working to bring back the Dragons or something.

;lkajse;lhpfioah;lakjf;ldskj;aflkj;dskjaf;

Also, the fuck is up with the price on this?!?  Storm of Swords hardcover.

So, funny story!  Last night at the WOMB party I'm chattin' w/ Brian, Lenore, and Spoiley McGiveAway (Dawn).  I mention that I'm 2/3 through the second book when she asks.  A moment or two later she's all, "I was SOOOO mad when Catelyn died I threw the book across the room and called to yell at Betty!!!!!"

Now, it was a little drunk out, and I know she didn't MEAN to make me want to run away and cry, so I calmly let her know she'd told me something I didn't know and assured her I still love her.

My point?  JACOB'S LADDER DEBT, PAID IN FULL.  Possibly w/ interest.  Wink

It wasn't a minute or two!! It was totally when we were talking about what pissed us off about the books. It's not my fault that I forgot which book that happens in. Cry  I did say I was sorry.

And I have no idea what Jacobs Ladder Debt is. Did I just inherit it?

OHOHOH so I haven't read much at all in the last week, so I'm only like... I dunno 50 pages into book 3.  I figured after finishing book two would be a fun time to make some predictions (which obviously none of you fuckers can say anything about until I'm caught up).  So for the fun of seeing how right and wrong I am later (and so you can all laugh behind my back at the stuff that's already proved me wrong by book 4)...

Random Predictions (End of book 2):

Characters that I don't think will ever die (or if they do, not until the last book, certainly won't be dropping dead any time before some great "end fight."):  Jon Snow, Arya Stark, Samwell Tarly, Rickon Stark, Daenerys Targaryen (duh), Sandor Clegane, Theon Turncloak (uh, Greyjoy).  I dunno about anyone else, I certainly hope Tyrion doesn't die but fuck he prolly will in some horrific way that'll make me want to throw my book out a window.  I wouldn't be shocked if Jaime actually dies in some vaguely noble way at some point I s'pose, who knows (not me).  Cersei prolly won't die anytime soon either (hell I see a thread w/ her name on it, but she coulda died anyway, I dunno).  Sansa is probably too fucking cursed to possibly be freed from the universe's clear hatred of her by something as kind as simply dying.  Wink

Characters who are fucking doomed:  Davos (who just got saved in like chapter 3 of book 3, I still think he's good as dead), Bran Stark (though prolly not until book 4), anyone within 50 miles of Daenerys (other than Ser Jorah), Gregor Clegane (pleasepleaseplease, please killed by the hound pleasepleasediediediedie), Hodor.

Overall Story:  Sooooooooooo I guess my guess for overall plot here is that The Others (and Mance Rayder?) and Daenerys start seriously invading at the same time forcing Lannister, Tyrell, Stark, Tully, etc to join desperately together in defense.  No idea wtf the Greyjoys will do during all that, prolly their retarded squidgod will tell them to join in with Mance and The Others.  Or something.  Theon I expect will eventually realize what a grade A fuckwad he's been and turn goodguy again (not that I expect anyone to take him back).  If he DOESN'T wake up from Reek Bolton kicking his ass and realize what a dick he's been, I hope the comet falls on him!!!  I hope he chokes his bitch of a sister out.  Knowing Martin she'll become a vaguely sympathetic character at some point with her own chapters.... gah.

Also, on the Lannister lion.  The Lannisters so far don't seem to have any sort of actual spiritual connection to their familial beast.  Maybe they do and it's just that so far it hasn't been shared with the book 1 and 2 audience, but it seems to me the Starks have serious mojo going on w/ direwolves, Daeny is literally shitting out dragons (OK, almost), The Greyjoys at least fucking drown people to their divine squid (so hey, they're trying) - I wouldn't be shocked to see some actual squid-based mojo coming along eventually.  So what's my point?  I dunno, I'm starting to wonder if maybe the Lannisters might not actually have some sort of other, dark, sekret god / symbol / whatever and the lion is just their PR banner.  I dunno, just a thought.

I hope if a man hears and a man sees and a man waits enough, Jaqen H'ghar may eventually make another appearance, in some form or another at least.

Finally I'm still waiting to see who the hell the two men were that Arya overheard talking about killing Ned and discussing the coming war (before it broke out) in Redkeep while they emerged from a hidden well thingie.  I sekretly think that it was some Free Cities guy we haven't met yet and Varys, who as much as I kind of like, I expect will actually turn out in the end to be one of the super, uberer, biggest, baddest, meanest, evillist villains of them all.  I also think that Varys' story to Tyrion about how he got castrated by some mage who bought him is only half true.  I think he castrated himself as part of some evil ritual to become a dark wizard (talking fire and all).  Or maybe he's just some poor Eunuch with only the stability of the realm in mind, I don't believe it but fuck it maybe.

Final moments of the series:  Arya Stark and Jon Snow, and who knows who else trying to save the realm (if not the world).  Wink

I'm done, maybe none of you care but I bet at least I'll enjoy laughing at how wrong I was two or three books from now.  Wink

OH!  Even if only I care, I realized I totally forget Mellisandre 'n her damn one true god shiznit.  Obviously the bitch is evil and is just using Stannis to spread her evil ass religion to Westeros.  Bitch.  Wink  My point though is that I definitely think they're, uh... wizard types... the whole god thing might just be a complete fabrication... who knows.  I was tempted to think that maybe Varys is working with them possibly (assuming he's the sekret evil villain I think he is)... but then I guess not 'cuz he didn't seem to find a way to make himself helpful to Stannis... I dunno!!!

I *definitely* think that the free cities sekret guy who was talking to the "wizard" under the sekret well that Arya was listening to in book 1 is working with / for the red priest type fuckwads.

That's all!  Wink

Finished Storm of Swords (#3), just FoC to go, and it's pretty damn short in comparison (as I'm sure you noticed).

Ummm.  Zombie Catelyn?  I'm a tad uncomfortable rooting for a zombie.  O_O  Fucking stupid One True God, red bitch!  *mumble*

Lysa just got tossed out the Moon Door (woooohooo!) and Tywin just got crossbowed by Tyrion (woooohoooo!)

I still don't like that stuck up little Daenerys Bunched Panties.

There are two prequel novellas??!?!?!??!?!

I dunno wtf Petyr's doin', but holy shit big reveal at the end there about him telling Lysa to kill John omfg, evil little snot!

Heheh OK well so I'm eight pages from finishing Feast For Crows, and I fell asleep.  I was FUCKING WIPED yesterday, useless, utterly.  So I'll finish when I get home tonight (it's just Samwell arriving at Oldtown, although obviously something crazy happens since it's the end of the book).  EIGHT pages I can't believe I fell asleep, lol.

Anyway just thought you ought to know.
