For those of you who would like to completely hide certain boards to unclutter your SMC experience, you will find an option on the profile screen to do just that.  Click on profile, and on the left under Modify Profile click Ignore Boards Preferences.

Remember that if you ignore a board, the only way to see it again is to go back to the Ignore Boards Preferences screen and unclick it.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Looks like there was a permissions issue, that should be fixed now.  The option should show up under 'Edit Buddies'.

For some reason it looks the same to me as before.  I don't have an option under 'Edit Buddies'

Yeah, i've found it to be handy.  There was too much stuff out there and I wanted to make the boards I care about fit on one page.
