Beautiful, Psychopathic, Co-Dependant. TOTALLY the sort of girl I would have chased after in college.

You know, even though she has TOTALLY brought everything upon her self, and even though she has been a bigger bitch in this book than in the others, I still kinda feel bad for her.

I think the really sucky thing is that for her to die (which she really really deserves) Jaimie will prolly have to die since he will most likely be her champion in the trial.
I hate Cersei, but Jaime is becoming one of my favorites.

I don't know about that. He finds out a little bit more every day in this book. I think he's lettiner her get her comeupance. He said he wasn't going back to king's rock, and told the messenger to burn her letter...

Boozehound and I were wondering about the merits of a Ser Loras vs Jamie Lannister duel.

What's the point? Both queens are dirty lying little fornicators.
I think if he hadn't lost his hand, Jamie would take him. (wait, isn't Loras dead now?) Loras was too young and cocky, I think even if Loras was faster, Jamie could be patient enough to hold him off, and wait for him to screw up

Jamie wasn't. Loras actual unhorsed Jamie in a duel once, and Jamie wasn't too sure that he could take him in a fight. Loras was a badass.

Loras was a badass.
Yep, and yet he went first charging that castle. See? Impatient. Come on. Jamie is smarter than that.
Why di I feel the need to call Rob an instigator?

Why di I feel the need to call Rob an instigator? [/color] I was more making a gimp-fight joke than instigating. If I was going to pick between the two in a duel while in their prime, I'd go with Jamie on experience. The two of them are very similar in a lot of ways, both joining the Kingsguard because they can't have the girl they want, both rash and excellent combatants, and both rudely arrogant about what their abilities. As for that girl, I have suspiscions that ol' Loras may be to Margery what Jamie is to Cersei. The symmetry there is pretty interesting.

Are we sure Pycelle wasn't just lying about the moon tea, because he realized that his usefulness to Cersei was coming to an end? A few chapters before she hatches the UMPOD, Cersei makes a comment about how high-born ladies all lose their maidenheads to horses, ie, riding -- and that Margaery and her flock of hens go riding all the time.

See, I was actually thinking that Loras was Renly's gay lover, which is why Margaery was still a maiden even after being married for weeks. Â There are a lot of allusions that they're both not really interested in girls. I'm also of the opinion that Jaime is going to let Cersei die. Â I think that Cersei misinterpreted Tyrion as the valonqar from the prophecy that Maggy the Maegi gave her.

I don't think Pycelle was lying about the moon tea, but I do think that it's probably not what it looks like. Moon tea could regulate cramps like modern birth control, or Margaery could have been asking for it on behalf of one of her ladies who was too shy to get it herself... It doesn't seem like Margaery was sleeping around - as Osney Kettleblack discovered, it's nigh impossible to get her alone.

Would that have made Renly the Queen? I could dig that tho. I sure hope Jamie lets her die. He seems like a much better person when he is on his own.

I am thinking that I agree with you, but I don't remember the order of their birth. Plus, I am not sure the time of prophecy is upon her. I think the reference to a woman, younger and more beautiful is a reference to our favorite Mother of Dragons so I am thinking that the lovely, young princess with the three Dragons will have to come to Westeros before the prophecy is really upon her.

Yeah, I interpreted the younger, beautifuler queen as Dany, too. But it's a book prophecy, so it's probably like, like, someone random.

Hrmm, I hadn't considered Dany being the prophesy younger queen. Neat point. I agree with Joc about the Valonqar though, I think that's Jaimee (I specifically in fact remember that Jaimee is younger by a few minutes - they definitely mentioned it). Although I take it more literally, I think he's physically going to kill her. I hate Cercei and want her to die a lot, a whole lot. On the other hand I dislike the entire concept of the fucking Septons imprisoning people and whipping them with no one to answer to. Useless fucking gold cloaks, useless Tommen ZOMG boy get your mom. I'm torn here by hating Cercei and hating churches. TYRION WHERE R U?

If you read the preview chapter on the website you will know where Tyrion is.
Who says you have to choose between the psycho church and crazy evil bitch? I hate them both. I hope the church kills Cercei with glass impregnated whips and then the church people all die of extreme fire when the heroine of the tale (Dany) comes through and purges the island with her dragons while the undead scourge from the north kills and butchers everyone who trys to stop them without Dany.
Oh, I think Sansa needs to stop being a victim.

If you read the preview chapter on the website you will know where Tyrion is. Yeah, I dunno I don't like looking or reading ahead. Obviously though if he put it up it's safe, I dunno I still don't wanna. Who says you have to choose between the psycho church and crazy evil bitch? I hate them both. I hope the church kills Cercei with glass impregnated whips Fair enough! and then the church people all die of extreme fire when the heroine of the tale (Dany) comes through and purges the island with her dragons while the undead scourge from the north kills and butchers everyone who trys to stop them without Dany. Bah. I'm just not a huge fan of Dany. She's a bitch. I'm aware she's also probably a good third of the next book. C'est la Martin. Oh, I think Sansa needs to stop being a victim. AAaaactually I'd say she's definitely coming into her own now. Maybe not as the nicest person in the world, but she seems to be coming along, playing her part pretty well. Fuck and now with the end of the fourth book, depending on how shit turns out she's only going to get more important and more influential. Of course unless she gets out from under Littlefinger's machinations (good luck with that) I guess she'll probably just be playing the puppet. Who knows. Not me!

I think Jaime is going to let Cersei die and his uncle take over as Hand. That was my take on it.

It doesn't seem like Margaery was sleeping around - as Osney Kettleblack discovered, it's nigh impossible to get her alone. I had the same thought - but I was 50/50 on it. Taina Merriweather (sp? - remember I hear this shit, not read it) talked about Renley being all ready to go on their wedding night - though I would have no trouble believing she is lying. Certainly there was some wierd tension between Renley and Loras. The moontea seemed really wrong to me - I figure there is also a chance that Pycell was telling the truth, but the moontea was for one of her cousins or something. I honestly believe that Margaery wasn't sleeping around - we really have no evidence other than the moontea to believe that she was.
