So I got my stalker to level six and rolled up a mastermind (necro obviously) just for fun - got him to lvl 5 in a couple hours. So like, these are obviously *miniscule* levels but it seems so far that my li'l necro (Stigma) is fucking *nasty* Pretty sure he'd 0wn my one level higher spines stalker. Anyone know if this uber nastiness continues the whole time? Am I wrong?

They are pretty nasty, but everyone assumes that the stalkers, especially, are going to be nerfed soon. So, don't hold your breath on them staying that bad ass.

Heheh, seriously my spines stalker seems just like Anagoge did (spines scrapper of yore) - nowhere near overpowered... altho I dunno maybe things have changed but spines was never really that nasty. My zombie on the other hand is fuckin' oooober.

What makes you say this? One thing is that your zombies are more capable melee combatants than you are. Also, stalkers truely get sick when they get invis. I don't know when this occurs, but if it was PvP you wouldn't see the stalker coming. Then you'd be a dead mastermind with a pile of zombies around you.

I think part of your perception is the way I'm assuming your playing. If you solo a lot, a stalker is a bit slow, while the MM just chews through things. But once you get a stalker onto a team or in PvP they start to really shine. The huge benefit to a MM is that they are a full team. Their pets do all the aggro work, and the player gets to focus on the defensive side of things. The problem is the pet AI being a bit quirky, and the player having to split their attention.
Will the Uber nastiness continue? That would also probably depend on your play. As you know, once you get higher up, more and more missions require teams, and I'm not too sure how a MM will work in those if he tries to solo. I know I love having one on a team, since the pets make great mini-tanks, but I'm wondering how they will pan out for large team play later on. The stalker I think will get better and better as time goes on, they are the best scouts in the game and for missions of 'kill X named boss' will save a ton of time. Heck, on a bank heist, the stalker can be getting the loot while the rest of the team is making their way to the vault.
Just my thoughts, it'll be interesting to see how things work once we're all in our 30s or so.
El Cheop.

Yep, good thoughts, good input. As for invis they get it at level one (heh) - meanwhile I wasn't really worrying about pvp anyway but I see your point.

I dunno. I've never tried since I figured the performance would suck. You might want to check the official boards.

Yes. It's under Menu -> Options -> Graphics & Sound -> Resolution Windowed is one of the choices. Why do you want to? Even in fullscreen mode you can still just use the Windows key to pop to your desktop if you need to.

I tore my windows keys off my keyboard - plus if I'm on AIM or something it's just too much of a pain to alt-tab 'n watch the game resize. Someday I'll just have a second 'puter for aim 'n all that again...

Actually, its good to know that the Windowed option exists - on my big screen, sometimes the sides get cut off on games, so while playing on a 61" monitor is bad-ass - losing your function keys on the borders - not so much.

No story exactly, they're just teasing me for a female friend I have - it's their job. They're effectively singing "Shmoo and Canadian girl sitting in a tree" at me. ;P
