So a conversation I had this morning w/ Louisa Ming made me realize that our heroes, as they stand now, are completely PvE based.
In a brave new world, they will have a more difficult time fighting PvP battles. Should we respec the lot of them for PvP?
The zones break out 3 ways. Req level 15, req level 20 and req level 30. I don't know what the level cap in CoV is. I figure that even the "Sunday night group" could be transformed into a solid base raiding team, but in order to accomplish that we'd all need a respec (one of which we would get).
What do people want to do? Should we all hit 50 with our high end toons and then respec for PvP glory? What about the alts?
In order to make the startling Groundhog into a PvP force, it will require several respecs. ED might make mixing up PvP and PvE more feasible since 5 slotting damage or 6 slotting defbuf is useless.

Steel Sentinel is pretty much PVP/PVE so I'm good.

Colder can be a PvP god with just one respec, so I have no problems with PvP or PvE. Plus I want to repsec him agian anyways.

If you don't slot your attacks w/ 2 ACC at least, you won't hit anything.
Louisa Ming suggested that perhaps we hit 50 with them, then turn them into PvP.
The Magic group can be used to farm prestige for any Hero related base stuff.

Unfortunatly, the good Doc M is just about the suckiest PvP build.
Really, I blow in PvP. Clockwork and Freaks show up just to watch me get boned by everything. A change in tactics might make me able to handle anyone without travel powers. But since they screwed my END drain in PvP (evidently flooring folks END was considered 'unfair'), I'm just a gimped blaster. And since FS only really rocks with a bunch of mobs, in 1 on 1 it just eats my END up. Sorry guys, but I think Dr.M will be hanging up his arm and do some of the admin work for the SG (think Martian Manhunter in JLU).
I'll get someone else up to help out the PvP team. Solar Shade was my planned PvP build, but I'd also be game for a Storm/*. Once someone else hit's 50 I'll switch out to an alt and see if they can get competitive soon.

With the new End Drain in the Free fire zones( Bloody bay, Sriens, and the like ) it shouldn't be too bad for Dr. Moby. I played a Elec/Elec Balster in the level 15 event tonight and had farily good end drain (over half the bar with my short circit) but I was not maxed out for end drain like Dr. Moby is. You may be able to get them close to empty with two hits now.

Since she's not actually ever doing damage to anything anyway, N'yx should play exactly the same in PVP as she does in PVE. Although I might want to try to squeeze Fly in somewhere. It seems to be the fan favorite travel power for PVP.

I need to tweak her enhancements a bit, but I don't think Luminosity would do too badly. She's definitely a damage dealer with a glass jaw, though, so she should play w/ others.

FYI, last night I played a blaster, invuln tank, and stone tank. I need to write up some thoughts on PvP. I suggest that there is a scarcity of information on the CoH boards because no one wants to reveal their secrets.

K, adding some comments. First, Stone tankers could work, but only if they have teleport. I would recommend teleport foe and teleport self. Air Superiority is a must.
Blasters, slotting 3 attacks for Acc is probably a good idea. I was hitting consistantly. I'd rather hit and do less dmg. I also recommend 6 slotting attacks and throwing end redux in place.
One problem I had was lag. The server was just slow. My attacks didn't seem to be cycling properly.
As far as travel powers go, I think having a mix of flight, Tp and speedsters will work. I can't see why anyone wouldn't want air superiority. Slows like caltrops are worth a lot as the name of the game is keeping your target nailed to the ground and localized until they are dead. Also, if we're going to have controller powers on either side, we need multiple controllers. Ara's controller couldn't overcome the status protection of the scrapper she was attacking. Since most of them have good status protection, I'm guessing that controllers will be most useful against soft targets like defenders, blasters and other controller types.
Additionally, staying spread out will be our best tactic and our worst nightmare. The closer you're grouped together the easier it is for a tank to taunt you. The further apart, and the easier it is to die because you can't be healed. Oh, and tanker's taunt doesn't put a premium on PCs. It will taunt minions just as much as it will PCs. That might make a mastermind useful, but no more than one and mostly as chaff for a tanker to sort though.
Masterminds were nigh useless. The pets were irritating, but I just ignored them and went after the brains.
A tank's job in PvP is to taunt as many PCs as possible. Provoke will be needed, but it's too soon to tell if tanks need challenge as well because the cycle times were so long and I couldn't get a handle on how long my taunt would last. Additionally, when a target is in front of the tank, it's the tank's job to keep them on the ground, on their backs or at least unable to fly.
Mid-air jousting is fun, and it's a good way to knock someone else out of the sky (air superiority). At least twice I had some jackass blaster raining fire down upon my fellow villains and I flew up to him, queued up AP and attempted to collide with him. The attack triggers as soon as i'm close enough, and he dropped from the sky (because I had 2 ACCs slotted). Then our friendly stalker walked over and nuked. Goddamn Stalkers are harsh bitches.
