Joc is thinking about a shape shifter. I was wondering how you would run the size and mass changes for shape shifting. The Main Hero's rulebook doesn't specify what the limits are , if any, are to shape shiftings size and mass, but in the side bar of the Champions book page 154 about fastball specials it notes "Multiform and Shape shift: If a character uses one of these powers to alter his form in a way that increases his mass, apply the rules for Density Increase to determine what happens." This is in reference to being thrown by another player. It would seem that she could change her shape to something that is larger and heavier than her original form, whats your take on this?

Also would a VPP be more appropriate than a Multipower to allow her to change her powers and stats with each new form? I was thinking about one Multipower for her most comonly used changes and one VPP to replicate powers she sees and would like to try to use.

Changing size or mass requires Density Increase, Shrinking or Growth.  Being able to extend reach requires Stretching.  Shape-shifting in and of itself just changes appearance.  Yes - VPPs for shapeshifters is relatively common-place - although they represent more high-power mimicry - like Super Adaptoid or Mimic.

Cool thanks for the answers, I was thinking about both a VPP and a Mulitpower to help create Joc's idea.
