Hey, kids.  I was talking to Shmoo the other day, so he probably saw this coming - but I am just not getting the ROI for my time or $$$ on COH.  The grind is just too, well, grindy.  It is starting to drive me nuts that I have to get on for 2-3 hrs a night for a week to lvl once.  The team game is fun - but I checked my calendar, and I am booked for the next three weeks between travel, etc.  It just doesn't make sense for me to keep burning $15/month for a game I ain't playing.  Now JOS can officially join the team.  Sorry, yo's.

Are you sure?  Your account won't be deleted until the end of your current pay period.  Maybe once August is done you can get back to playing?  Also, Lee and I always play together (i have a separate soloing character).  You're more than welcome to group with us.  I think the soloing is what is making the game such a grind for you.

It's OK, this is how The Rev operates.  Frankly I'm surprised he played as long as he did.  We'll just wait until a big expansion or CoV comes out to pull him back in later... >

Yeah - I generally have a very short attention span for entertainment.  For tabletop games I generally try to ride out the valleys in my interest because they are social and I don't want people being pissy with me - and anyway that is the nature of the beast - the valleys are worth the peaks.  For books, TV shows, and games I figure - WTF - its not like I am letting someone down by switching video games - so as the great Cartman says: "Screw you guys, I'll do what I want!"  And books - jesus, I never get through them for just the same reason.  I hit my second hour of bored after I lose interest and go "fuck it - why am I doing this with my free time?"  That was actually one of my issues with MMORPGs and why I took so long to play one - seemed like too much responsibility for a video game.

Hah.  I'm having a blast now at 23, I finally feel like Coalescence is kicking ass and working the way I want him to.  It's a lotta fun to slowly convert over to single origins, sooo looking forward to 24's new power.... but I admit it's slow going as hell.  At this point I think I'm earning about one bubble per hour.... blah.  Well I'm still having lotsa fun, you 'n B will be missed but I think we all understand.  You go enjoy your meat space.
