Is anyone here interested in playing?  I'm thinking about it, but I'm not much into the solo-play.

(That's what she said.)

"Xerxes" is thinking about it too.  We can always pick a day / time (or play it by super-hearing ear) to play with each other weekly or something.  And then if you're bored you can always make another character for playing solo - whatever yo it's mucho fun.  Smiley

How easy is it to level?  Is it better to level with a group or solo?

Hmm, I've done more soloing personally - but I've gone out in groups a few times.  Groups are almost harder cuz you run around being tempted to go after reeally hard targets and sometimes you get overconfident and you all get killed.  But you can also consistently kill higher level mobs in a team, so you prolly wrack up exp faster (unless maybe you're a higher level than everyone else so you're killin' wimpy shit for the sake of the others).  So prolly team playing is better so long as you don't constantly do totally dumb shit.  Also with healers there's less need for healing time, so yeah team are prolly the way to go - but not by much.

Leveling is easy enough.  Levels 2 through 5 fucking fly by (once you get out of the level 1 tutorial).  Levels 6 to 7 slow down, and then 8+ gets slower still... but every two levels you get a new power (you start the game with 2) - every other, alternating level you get two open slots to place on powers you already have as you see fit.  You can then fill those slots with enhancements to make your fav (or newer) powers better, more dmg, less endurance, longer duration, smaller recharge time, higher accuracy, etc.  Smiley

Yeah - I am already getting pretty addicted to this - I have a handful of test characters but am planning to take off one day this week (its a billing thing - I've got to) and sit back and play (also to watch the exterminator and get a bed delivered).

The only party play I have had was with Shmoo - and it was pretty fun - but it looks like you really have to design your character differently for solo vs. group play.  Their are a couple of "classes" like Controller and Defender that are only so-so for a solo player, and others, like Scrapper and some styles of Blaster that seem like they wouldn't be good in a group.

Its heinously fun.  The costume design and powers are a blast.  The rules systems are a touch limiting in some respects - particularly by the class system - but the game is decently fast paced and it is fun to watch the psychotic hordes of costumed menaces (the other players) stomp all over the place, heal people, hurl people into building, cut them to shreds with claws, etc.

If people are into a group game - I am totally down with that.  I would probably use the character I have been using with Shmoo (Cagliostro - Magic Controller with Illusion Control and Storm Control).

Very fun.

We just got into the game tonight and had a blast.  Ha, ha, litterally!  I'm Luminosity, a Mutant Blaster with Fire Control.  Bill is The Groundhog, a Mutant Tank.  Since I grew up on superheroes, I'm having a lot of fun picking powers and creating a costume, name, etc.  But even those who don't, like Bill, love the look and feel of the game.  Great so far!

Let's start looking at a time to hook up and save the world.

Wow, fantastic pics!  They turned out really well.  A little dark, but I just lightened it up in Photoshop and it looks totally cool.

Silly house-buyer.  ;)

We'll be on tonight.  @whee.
