5/17
Planted:  Strawberries, yellow bell peppers, basil, cucumbers, tomatoes (sweet baby girl -- cherry variety), tomatoes (roma), red seedless grapes (for next year)

Any requests for the second planting wave?  It will definitely include green bell peppers.

And, fingers crossed that the "patchy frost" they called for last night didn't kill nothin'.

Nothing seems the worse for wear from the frost, although they're calling for more tonight.

Watered.

One strawberry loss, looks like a bird.  (Strawberry fruit, not strawberry plant.)  No signs of nibbling or little critter footprints.  Probably because it still smells really, really bad.

Need to move the grapes up by the south side of the house for more sun.

Planted some more herbs, as we seem to have missed the cool season growers and I've heard that someone doesn't want squashes.  Smiley  We now have rosemary, lavendar, curry, and 2 more types of basil (one of which is Thai basil, which goes great in Pho). I also bought 3 new cucumber plants and an e***lant (just for fun).

I purchased 13 bags of rubber mulch and donated a 2 cu. foot bag of cedar mulch and 3/4 of a 2 cu. foot bag of red mulch. It's going to be a bit colorful for awhile, but it was just going to waste in my garage.  Before the rain started, I got 95% of the way done with the far planter box. As soon as it stops raining (Thursday?) I will go and finish the rest of the mulch in both planter boxes.

I also have 5 two liter bottles for us to use. (Bill is happy to do his part to make additional 2 L bottles free for us.) I'm not sure how you wanted to do it, so I'll just bring them over next time.

How many 2 liter bottles do you need?  I can make this happen.
