'Nothing personal.'

What are your thoughts on MA?  Mine so far are somewhat mixed.  I really hate the fact that they are barring you from getting badge credit - I think it is going to severely discourage use of high-level content.  I know with Tathagata, I am likely to run enough of them to get tickets, get the unlockable content I want - then promptly stop unless I am bored and out of other content.  The only two things for 50's to really do is get badges and get stuff to buy/sell, so while having neat content will be nifty, I think the lack of badging rewards is going to make it pretty unattractive.  No merits either, although the ticket system (depending on how it is done) might actually be similar to merits and better then random drops.

On the flip-side, particularly red-side, I would be tempted to use MA to level any new characters, as I am *SO* sick of the repetitive low-level content red-side.  Also, the ticket system, depending on how they did it, might actually be spiffier then random drops - being able to get exact recipes to throw out on the market would be nice.

I also, like every other wannabe fan-boy GM have like 5-6 story ideas for arcs I want to build...

Low-level content really sucks both sides.  Redside there's no variety at all, and blueside there really isn't any actual and good content in it until you get to the faultline arcs (which obviously repeat for everyone).  I think a lot of people will make MA stuff with both of those points in mind.

As far as badging, I don't have the link, but there was a comment from the devs a month or so ago (when they stopped letting base salvage conversion count toward crafting badges) that said there were longer-term plans to make badges, especially those hard to get actually mean something a little bit more in the game.

Personally, I'm content enough with the game to find stuff to do.  Blueside, my main was my first 50, but is also one of my weakest 50s, so I'm slowly working on the plan to rebuild him.  My main alt is my most badass 50, and I can always find stuff to do with him, whether it's PvP, making $, badging, planning alt build, running TFs, flashing back, or just flat-out tearing shit up once in awhile.  My second 50 alt is strictly a cash whore, and I have five alts that I'm interested enough in playing the builds to want to play each of them at times (and one level 10 alt who is also just a cash whore until I can get it all transferred over to someone else).

Long story short(er), I don't think any single new issue is going to turn anyone onto or off of the game.  When you're interested, you find something to make it fun, and when you lose interest, none of it grabs your attention.

And then you go kill zombies.  Lots and lots of zombies.
