So with the coming of i13 (first week of december?), base prices are going to go down considerably.  We'll end up benefiting, but only by selling off everything in the base and starting all over from scratch.  That said, everything in the bases has to go!  I started tonight condensing some of the bins, and (I presume we should probably) start selling off the components we're not using before then.  Extra enhancement and insp bins, extra crafting tables, etc., so we have at least a small head start in some of the pain in the ass stuff in tearing down/rebuilding.

If there's anything left in any of the bins that you think you want, now's the time to log in and pick them up.  If you don't have room to store them, let me know here.  I have a few toons I don't foresee using soon, and a few empty slots I can use to create mules for either side.

I also haven't started selling anything off yet because I want to make sure everyone's cool with doing so as prep for the next release.  If anyone has components they're potentially going to use this month (pillar, for example), then we'd obviously keep them.

Thoughts?

So the downside to rebuilding is that we'll need to recraft all of the telepads in both bases.

I think it makes sense, but we (read you and I) need to prepare for the cost of rebuilding the telepads.  They do require rare salvage now.  That said, I think that we should convert the base salvage to rares so we can equalize the cost there.

So right now, I think we can ditch unused items and rooms to make way for the rebuild.

In the future, the villain base only needs to have an Ouroboros pillar added to it.  The rest of the stuff should be good.
The hero base needs all the stuff it has now, plus more telepads.  If people are willing to play in SG mode during double XP weekend, I could agree to a plotsize upgrade.  That part will depend on how much money we have left over after the rebuild.

The hero base will be changing a LOT once i13 drops.

Also (in between posting snarky comments on LoHud about how horribly he's missing the boat this week), I've actually done some work on the base, I think I have the basic idea down, if you want to take a look and either let me know what you think, or make changes.

I like the pieces at the entrance, but I think the flier should be moved from the crafting room.  Lemme poke around the base some more, instead of running around like a madman to the crafting station.

Aw, I liked the flier there!  Maybe in the hospital so it can scare the shit out of someone if they go to the base instead of the hosp??

That sounds like a better place for it.  I like the punishment aspect for faceplanting. Wink

I started separating the rooms tonight.  Mine's the bar.  Yours isn't decorated, but it's the ice-blue-ish room.  Two bright red rooms with different wall/floor styles/heights (also not decorated) for the blasters.  Bright, green room for healer.  Any ideas for the rest?  Or feel free to add in.

Also, the flyer's back.
