Market stuff for i13

We're going to want to craft all of the IOs for 2XXP before it drops and salvage goes through the roof.

Also, i'm in favor of filling the base with bins so we can craft as many common IOs as possible and sell them during the release of the issue.

Furthermore, I'm thinking about hoarding some salvage.  I'll pick 2-3 items that match up with high demand recipes and then start buying now so I can sell during the launch.

Any thoughts?

I think we talked about the salvage part, never thought about crafting commons.  Which IOs?  I presume the normal everyone-uses-them dam/acc/end/rec, but which levels?  I'm all for filling the base bins (like I've never done THAT before).  I cna use it as an excuse to pick up the workbench on a second toon.

Which salvages are you thinking about?  I feel like prophecies and soils are safe.  They're popular enough now to (with a few market oddities now and then) consistently sell at 1.5 - 2, and I know they are used in a lot of recipes.  Skips, platinum, gems (I think?  I know there's a mid-arcane rare that's big), the stuff that runs at 3mil or more seems a little more risky, how much higher would they go?  Some of the lower (photonic, mu's, etc) that go for under 1mil might profit more, but they don't have nearly as high a turnover rate as prophecies and soils, so I don't know for certain that they'd go up.

Once the beta drops, we should check out how base salvage is going to work.  I presume that it's going to be mostly commons, which under the current drop rate would make those go absolutely through the roof on items you can buy now at 1k or less and sell at 10k.  Given that, it would totally be worth stocking up on those items with non-flippers (mostly because they won't have the capital available to stockpile the big rares).  Of course, all this is presuming they don't adjust the drop rate at all, too.

As far as bins, do we drop one of the teleporter rooms before i13 and load it up with bins?  We should definitely separate the 2xp bins from the Pvn00b bins.  Do you still want to sit down together to figure out what we need to craft or you want me to just start crafting now?

Not strictly i13 related, but the Halloween event is dropping salvage prices across the board.  I'm putting in bids for prophs and soils for 1 mill each.  I expect to dump 1/3 of my available cash on them, and store them for 2-4 weeks (if not more).

Still selling (albeit VERY slowly) for 1.5mil.  I'd drop your bids even a little lower if you REALLY want to make the case, I've seen them going for under a mil.  If you want to pick up a large amount and make 3.5 off of a lot of slots, I'd stick with 1mil.

Interesting experiment tonight on The Market global.  Check the forums tomorrow (I presume today) to see if the guy's "published" the results.  There are a lot more questions I have about it, and a lot more permutations I'd like to see tried, most especially the sale order when there are multiple bids from multiple people.  They may get to it, but I don't think they're going to tonight.

If we had the inventory, we could make IOs.

I almost wanna start a quicky SG so I can store 100 commons.  But then i realized i'd have to take time out to go and sell them
Maybe i'll make some and then pick them up with my other non-2xxp chars.

All I know is that i'm not relisting any of my recipe purchases at the moment.
