I have a new favorite Cap ship, the Revelation Battlecruiser.  Especially as, numbers wise, it doesn't look that great,  with an anemic 47dps vs ships and 50dps vs planets (Marza does 54/57).

But... oh... the SPECIALS...

With Reverie, no capital ship can every run away from you.  With Clairvoyance, scouts become WAY obsolete.  And with Provoke Hysteria, you WAY more than make up the planet dps of the Marza while the inhabitants DIE SCREAMING.

The Asvent sure as hell aren't the hippie race they appeared to be when I first looked at them.

I see that, but I wonder what you think of the Radiance.  AM burn is apparently the shit.

Aside from my first game, i haven't touched the Advent.

AM burn is indeed the shit.  In general, I really like Advent's cap specials.

I like the Radiance, but you have to kind of micromange it's specials to get the best effect.... the computer always seems to pull aggro at bad times and ignore it at good times.  When you have 12 cap ships in a group, managing that type of crap is a pain.

My understanding is that the Advent are very ability dependent, and that microing those abilities is the way to win with them.

Especially with the Radiance and Animosity.

Actually, that ship and the Guardians.  Radiance forces the bulk of the fire onto it, the Guardians absorb some damage.  Negates an enemies ability to focus fire.  When you want to, you can use the Guardians to put them into a corner.  That would be a bitch for a a typical LRM/Repair fleet.

Guardians most of all I think.  I mean if you've got a dozen of 'em in a fleet, it's not exactly beneficial for them all to use their repulsion abilities at the same time.  That said, thus far I've been too lazy / busy to micromanage my Advent ability usage.
