It's been a while since the last restaurant club outing, and I have an idea to throw out for the next one...

Chef Roberto Donna works at several different tasty restaurants: Galileo, Laboratorio de Galileo, Osteria, and Bebo Trattoria. The first three (all in the same building) are currently being renovated, so Chef Donna is hosting his cooking classes at Bebo.

The schedule of classes is published on a monthly basis via email. I have no idea how quickly they fill up. Here is the schedule I just received:

    * Tuesday, May 22 - Pasta
    * Tuesday, May 29 - Sicily
    * Monday, June 11 - Tuscany
    * Monday, June 18 - Risotto
    * Tuesday, June 19 - Sauce I

Each of these classes begins at 6:30. They include dinner, wine, and apron, and recipes. Total cost is $110/person.

So... would anyone be interested in doing a cooking class at a nice restaurant? If enough folks are into it, we can pick a date and I'll get us reservations.

Score! That one sounds lovely. Anyone else in?

C'mon, it's risotto.
If you cook it badly, you can have some of Lee's ;-).

After June 22nd, I'll have free time again. Smiley  My month of all-class-no-socializing is already totally fucked without adding one more thing!

For $110 I'd rather not have to cook the meal myself.  Wink

I'm also pretty sure that getting from Reston to Arlington by 6:30 on a weeknight would require some kind of miracle.

And I doubt that these are designed with vegetarians in mind.

Ha ha!  Good point.  I'm just really interested in taking a class from Chef Donna.  He's supposed to be amazing, when he's not off doing too many things at once (things that often don't actually involve him cooking).
