'Nothing personal.'

After WWI and the battle of the Lilithim, the returning Allied Cabal adepts, now called the FBAA, had far more to do domestically then internationally.  The Depression Era held countless supernatural threats that took advantage of the relative chaos and mayhem brought on by poverty and the increase in crime.  Many of these small threats were easily dealt with, but the FBAA found itself at odds with two major issues at this time:

Belial's Brood - A cult of vampires that claimed to be the product of damnation at the hands of the devil, and served a demon lord (Belial).  Whereas most vamps are quite content with laying low and feeding, those of the Brood believe themselves monsters through and through and act accordingly.  There leader was a Russian named "The Black Cossack" and was absolutely hideous to behold, with skin that looked like black rotted wood.  The Cossack escaped termination, but most of his followers died at the hands of other vampires or the FBAA.  The Brood occassionally resurface in small cells, and are always a high priority target - never for C&C, always for termination.  The Cossack is close to Public Enemy #1 for the FBAA.

Wolf War - the Were's, particularly in the Rockies, but all across the United States declared war on one another.  What the war was about, and what each side wanted, the FBAA never found out, but they spent a lot of time cleaning up after their bloodshed, and this time with mainly C&C orders (the FBAA has enough recruitment problems without throwing away its best on Werewolf suicide hunts).

Prohibition and its ensuing crime wave was another hey-day for the supernatural and many supernats took advantage of the criminals for their own benefit.  No specific threat rose as paramount, but the FBAA performed many missions jointly with an unsuspecting FBI.

Albrecht and Colton became concerned about Hitler and the possibility of his arcane taint long before the United States became involved the war, and left for Europe as far back as 1935, 6 years prior to the bombing at Pearl Harbor.
